The Keires duo was formed in 2019 in Basel with the aim of realizing an original project that would explore new sounds.

The choice to combine the sound of the piano with that of the baritone sax (and not, as is usually the case, the alto sax) creates unprecedented and original timbral solutions, while the search for new programs that draw on different musical traditions testifies to the desire to overcome, through music, the boundaries between cultures.
